PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy policy
I, Rachel Anderson, am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of visitors to my website and social media platforms. In particular, I want you to know that I am not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. I just don’t do that sort of thing. In this Privacy Policy, I’ve provided information on when and why I collect your personal information, how I use it, the limited conditions under which I may disclose it to others and how I keep it secure. Grab a cuppa and read on.
Cookies
We may use cookies on our website in order to personalise our service to you. If you do not want cookies to be used, you can set your internet browser to deny them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your computer by websites you visit.
They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently for visitors, and to provide information to the owners of the site. Some of the cookies we use are essential in order for parts of the website to operate.
How do I use cookies on the website?
Cookies are used on the website for my own internal purposes, to track how users navigate through the website. This helps me to evaluate and improve the website and my online services.
I use information derived from cookies in order to:
- compile statistics on how the website is being used, which can help me to improve the website and online services.
- facilitate users’ ability to navigate through the website.
- ascertain whether the website is operating effectively.
- personalise and improve the service I offer you by understanding your preferences and establishing which areas of the website are most relevant to you.
Managing cookies
In your web browser you can control which types of cookies you allow. You can turn cookies on or off using your browser’s settings. You can also delete cookies and clear your browser’s cache (history).
Mailing Lists
As part of the registration process for ongoing communication from me, I collect personal information. I use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked me to tell you about; to contact you if I need to obtain or provide additional information; to check my records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. I don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
I use a third-party provider, Active Campaign, to deliver newsletters and mailings. I gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry-standard technologies to help me monitor and improve my mailings. For more information, please see Active Campaign’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of my emails or by emailing Rachel Anderson, who is the Data Protection officer (DPO)
Access to your personal information
You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that I hold. Email your request to data protection officer, Rachel Anderson at [email protected]
